Vector Begins, Thursday, September 10th

Vector Parents and Students,

We are very excited for another year of speech and debate and look forward to seeing what the Lord will do in and through us this year!

When/Where:

The first Vector Speech and Debate Co-op meeting will be on Thursday, September 10th, from 6:00 – 8:00pm, at Ketoctin Covenant Presbyterian Church in Purcellville. Please arrive early, as we will start promptly at 6:00 pm.

Note: The normal meeting time for Vector Speech is 4:00-5:30pm and Debate is 6:00-7:30pm.

Who:

All Speech AND Debate students, both current and new, need to attend the first meeting with at least one parent, however, both parents are strongly encouraged to come.  If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent at least one parent from being there, please Terri Adams directly.

What:

During our first meeting:

  • We will discuss the vision and goals for Vector Speech and Debate and share the expectations for the co-op.
  • There will be a special Speech and Debate Overview presentation, which is designed to help parents and students learn more about each of the speech and debate categories and better understand the benefits of each one
  •  Share a few speech demonstrations.
  •  End the night with a Q&A time and dessert!

We do have a dress code for club time. New Vector students will receive a Vector t-shirt at the first meeting. Please come dressed in a nice shirt/blouse with jeans, khakis, or a skirt. (Hemline of skirts are to be at least to the knee.) NO SHORTS are permitted at meetings.

Current Vector students, please wear your Vector t-shirts with jeans, khakis, or a skirt.
